Seni Berborak

Akhirnya aku berjaya tengok interview RM & Pharrell sebab aku sekarang jarang-jarang tengok atau dengar any BTS related stuff on time. Biasanya much-much later, so this is also under a peer pressure hahaha, but its ok.

Menarik perbualan mereka ni sebab kita dengar dua orang artis berbicara tentang benda yang dekat dengan mereka. Seperti Pharrell cakap, soalan yang ditanya RM tak pernah orang tanya dia sebelum ni. Kenapa? Sebab kami orang biasa, even journalist pun orang biasa.

I think both of them feel satisfied after the conversation.

Ditakdirkan tak lama lepas tu, aku terjumpa interview Erik Nam & Jackson. First of all, DISCLAIMER, I love GOT7 okay! Its literally that time GOT7 selesai promotion that I stumble upon BTS dan somehow berkekalan sampai hari ini. And Erik Nam done so much as an English speaker kpop artist that I think he deserve more for his music career.

Maybe because there's drinks involve maybe thats why they extra chill, but I dont know why I expect something more from his interview. Jackson is an interesting and intense man and I think he is tired of people not taking him seriously in Korea. He had been working so hard in so many countries, proving his worth.

I for once want to hear his real thought.

And this is the issue I had with so many Asian American podcast. There are so many out there especially post Covid. I dont listen to many but what I gather is almost none of it manage to talk about real shit with real people honestly and with something nice at the end to talk away minus the swear word, booze etc.

KINJAZ PODKAST S2 EP 24 | Jackson Wang

Then I realized something.

  • Not everyone can make you open up to talk about your real raw thought, be vulnerable and be ok with that.
  • Not everyone even realized their unconscious thought and thats why they cant talk about it
  • Not everyone willing to talk about serious thing seriously.

Again, this is not a post to talk bad about Jackson or Erik or Asian American communities at all. This is still about the taboo that we had surrounding emotional thought and stuff like that.

I know it is frustrating to not be able to talk about things like this, so if and when you find someone that ready to listen and you are ready to unload your emotional thought to them, be thankful.

Talking, interviewing, listening are art and skill that can be thought, learn and finesse. I hope that one day we can have a mature conversation about our raw emotion and thought much later.

Kalau rajin nanti aku ulas dan kenalkan dengan beberapa orang yang aku suka penerangan mereka tentang heavy conversation seperti ini. Some name that you can check out

Ed Mylett

Tom Bilyeu

Until then, have a good one!
